| Ahhh at last.Dark evenings are back,autumn just around the corner.Remnants of summer heat linger still in the air outside and for now just a cotton sheet suffices as bedclothes.Septembers cool breezes will soon be whispering across my face as I lift the wine glass to my lips and look at the lights of town in the distance.Octobers rain,ahhhh how I,ve waited for you this long while,I shall stand in your first downpour and let your tears wash over me.Novembers sadness as always makes the nights that little darker.Decembers optimism brings a twinkle to the eyes of hopeful lovers.I like the dark months,we lost souls can hide among the shadows and watch unnoticed as new romances are born and tired old loves die,remembering the times the light shone on us.We never knew we were being watched from the shadows,did we? |
