Like a band-aid I thought the quick and fast pull-it-off approach might be best.. The type of break-up that doesn't linger on. It hurts like hell but it's over with fast. Then, I thought nah- I'm not that brave. I'll take it slow with each tug moving closer and closer to the final end - where we both agree - it's over. Sure it hurts but the agony is rather dulled and more easily endured. Are those the only choices ? Fast and painful or slow and agonizing. I'm really not into pain right now. So I guess I'll leave that sucker in place. Hey - I could soak it in water. The glue will dissolve. We'll be rid of the damn thing but it won't hurt. I'm so smart. Works for band-aids. But how can you soak a romance in water? Hey - Honey want to take a shower together ? Sounds painless to me. |
