It's the little things that I remember... How soft your cheek felt when I wiped your tears that night your little kitten died. How mellow your eyes looked the first time I whispered; "I love you." How red your face got when your mother embarrased you in front of me, when we first met. How beautiful you looked when you curtsied and bowed after performing your art; just for me. How your skin sort of glowed when I found you covered with mud helping your brother to landscape his yard. How you made me feel, when you offered to help take care of my Mom, when she was terminally ill. How you hid from me, when you thought I'd be mad because you lost your ring. How you kissed my hand, to make it better just because I cut it. How you quivered and shook the first time I kissed you; How you make me feel; even now; after all these years; everytime you hold me. |
