I once had a bird as pretty as could be. With beautiful colors for everyone to see. I loved my bird very much you see. I trusted my bird would never fly from me. I would sit for hours listening to your pretty songs Why didn't I see you were going to leave me? One day it happened, the bird flew free. I didn't realize that the bird was smarter than me. Away the bird flew but I could not see. Broken hearted memories is all I have left of thee. I hope my bird is happy wherever you may be. I have another pet with no wings to fly away from me. |
