| It,s the time of year when even the most practical and least romantic people that surround us actually give way to what they understand to represent feelings.Ok maybe some of it is the New Year champagne,ok most of it is but out there tonight there will be hugs and kisses.There are and will be moments in all our lives that will stay with us forever yet oddly the sad ones seem to come to the fore at this time of year.This evening I sat in my favourite comfy chair and listened to my favourite songsters and watched the day turn to night through my window.It would be oh so easy for me to let the hurt in and remember the sad moments but that won,t happen tonight.Instead I remember the first time I looked into your eyes,held your hand,kissed your lips,saw you naked and lost myself in you forever.As the seconds of this old year tick away I,ll sit here smiling and remember that for a while my life was perfect. |
