Delayed Thought Process

Thoughts and feelings move so fast.
But U.S.P.S. moves so damn slow.
Guess I shouldn't complain though,
Since now I work for that molasses in blue.

Looked before you leap right?
Fools rush in right?
The mind is apt to spin so quickly,
Apt to spit the silliest sentimentalities,
Or the deepest hopes... that a pen and measured hand would surely edit in hindsight.
Yet you can't catch or kill the words freed from your mouth.
Neither can you hunt down that funny little carrier truck and hijack a regrettable letter.
The difference lies in the time spent in regret between the two.
Perhaps... if those clever people at the Post caught up with the speed in which electricity carries voices; But until then it is safe only to blather nonsense and banalities in those penned correspondences.
And cautiously avoid any idea of importance, leave that to communications conducted in which you will have no time to regret them no time to hatch hijacking plots.
Because some people regret saying things, but even more meant what they said.
