Into my life you came signing my guestbook obtaining the key that unlocks each of my doors one by one as you enter each room you light a candle to chase the darkness with flickers of hope I watch you bring in your luggage back and forth in and out up and down the stairs filling each room slowly, one by one with all that is yours unpacking your soul Lighting each hearth with matches of wonder a soft glow fills each room with restful warmth Settling in for the night Wondering which room you will occupy You whisper softly, "All of them" Wondering how long you will be staying You whisper gently, "FOREVER"........ With a smile on my face and a sparkle in my eye I go outside and put up a sign "No Vacancy"....... ~ |
