You made me blush with the suggestion of uncovered toes, though the grass was more lush than any carpet and in that instant the thought of feeling it against bare nekkid soles was far more than tempting. I put off those sandals and dared not meet your eye for the flush of pure pleasure shot through me like a rainbow. Yes, this was an old sensation made new by your gentle regard and whatever would you think of a woman of my years crowing with delight at her suddenly joyful feet? But you weren't done---no. You pointed out the low lying mist and the fire flies dancing inside it like a Tolkien dream, bade me breathe the scent of countless small flowers drugging the senses, and asked me to trust you while i breathed it all in. Then you put a taste on my tongue that completed the circuit and shot me back in time to the boardwalk---the midway, the surf crashing on the sand and a kiss stolen by the one you would have gladly given it to for free while one shooting star blazed across your eyelids to mark the moment forever in a life's heart. |
