I was unwantedly reminded tonite of something I recalled saying to a friend some years ago.It was the morning after I had spent the night with you,I was on a high and met my friend in the pub that afternoon,you and I were to meet again that night so I had a smile a mile wide.My friend and I chatted over a few beers and as often happens we drifted into mellow mode.As friends we often find ourselves vocally approving or not of our latest flames but that morning and on reflection not at any time then or since has he said a word about you,hmmm strange now I think of it.I loved you but I remember saying to him,she doesn,t now and never will love me. I held you that night but I never closed my eyes. |
