TOASTERS

I know, I know...returned
all those wedding toasters
called Goodwill for his things
but the excess mental baggage
and some packing keeps me here
just a bit longer....but I'm stronger

house's littered with wet drink coasters
washed the glasses, think I lost my ring
then food, funds and the time's lacking
here just a bit stronger....but no longer

No more durned nine wedding toasters
from now on, taking life straight-up, raw
each morsel cold as ice, like I feel, ya'll
really tough, I might not even let it thaw
