Burning pains of such forgotten pasts, Shimmered to the surface of my dreary day. Our elope, so innocent, so gay, Made me believe that this love could last. I would have married you that day you left. With soft kisses and sweet nothings dancing in my mind, I thought to myself 'all was right'. Burning pains of such forgotten pasts, Shimmered to the surface of my dreary day. Happiness in virtue that should have stayed, Have been taken away by your final task. Such notions swept aside by your theft. You had taken it upon yourself to malign Our passions for each other in spite. Burning pains of such forgotten pasts, Shimmered to the surface of my dreary day. You thought of me as a fool that wouldn't stray, Blundered by the choice you have cast. I tell you this M'lady once removed, this is where the poem does conclude. And if you haven't figured, here's a clue, I am finished and you are screwed. |
