But then I saw you there In your black trenchcoat Looking handsome as ever And twice as good. I bit back my tears as I wondered what would happen if we kissed tonight, Knowing we shouldn't. I almost held your hand But realized it soon enough And linked arms with you instead. You didn't know why I was laughing at myself, But you've never really questioned it.
