I remember pausing as I inched towards her - taking in the aroma of the perfume she was wearing. As our eyes met, I softly said, "are you sure?" Her reply was unquestionably clear through her beautiful brown eyes. As our lips parted for the first time, I felt lightheaded; as if I had been indulging in the most intoxicating drink know to man. The raspberry filled chocolate that she once held between her lips, inviting me to share, still lingered on my tongue. I had stopped breathing in hopes that the moment would last a lifetime. It has. |
