The Linger

Come the imperceptible sighs of frustration, glancing at renegade timehands, far out of sync,
Forcefully frequent glances by impatient souls prove insufficient; time cares not what we think.
Murals of bliss welded together in flashframe blurs of sum whole, greater parts, harmonic hue,
If only we can conquer dual agony of the too many minutes and miles to be reunited with you.
And each moment, ignorant of those enslaven to its whim, offers up glacial processional teases,
We beg and plead, entreat a clock to acknowledge our need and it continues to do as it pleases.

In the necessary solitary of our now, 'tis question confounds the outsiders; how to hold our glow?
Indeterminate days 'til best of our lives, responsibilities unique and shared, so when can we know?
Sunrise brings the hope, sunset the reminders; in between countless thoughts of a woman adored,
Chances as vast as the imagination of a child known no sorrow cleaving barrier with a gigglesword.
Once were my steps a trudge toward the heaviest conclusion possible, apathetic quagmires d'amor,
Know you here I place you upon no idealistic perch as one man's salvation; I would rather you soar.

But these, there are mere words; decorations for the divinity of the recapture of a most elusive prey,
Were my hands as capable as the gentle touch of she, my precious one, imagine what they could say.
Each smile to grace her, may Heaven embrace her, for I have been shown what I never thought true,
The instant one believes nothing remains to be learned in lessons of love, another answer comes due.
Hearts, they measure descent and consent; so steady as we go, uncharted ahead, paths crystal clear,
So look upon the starlight sky, it seems made for you and I, let the linger of our unison hold us near.
