You last name has been my password for so many years I can't remember ever having another. All I remember is your blue eyes. Your 16 year old blue eyes that caught mine at 19. And now I'm 30 and you're 27 and all I can ever really remember is you. And I've loved you since you were that brand new teenage boy standing around at camp. We have become the best of friends over the years. we've traveled the world together. Once anyway. You've shattered my heart and mind and life out of me back when I was young and stupid. And although I'm no longer young, maybe still not wise to the ways of us. I would give you the pieces of me that I don't give anyone else. Maybe I reserve them for you. I would move to the country and give up all that I love in my city just to make pancakes with you in the morning. I can't breathe fully without you. But I will stand here and burn in my skin. |
