Jehovah - is a Romantic God

When God had made the first man
he formed him from the ground
blew air into his nostrils
the breath of life's mute sound

The man moved round the garden
and searched this paradise
and found so many creatures
but much to his surprise

There was no other like him
no other quite the same
he began to feel so lonely
Adam was his name

All the other creatures
had mates to call their own
love to share, young to bear
yet he remained alone

The creator felt his sadness
as he watched him roam about
he knew he needed someone
of this there was no doubt

Yes, someone to share his words with
to laugh and be his friend
someone to share his joy with
their life with him to spend

Now he could have simply made her
the same way he made the man
but being the romantic god that he is
he worked out a different plan

Putting Adam into a deepened sleep
where he felt no pain from the start
he opened him up and removed one rib
the one from over his heart

He placed this rib so carefully
into the body that he formed
and when he brought her to his side
Adam's heart was instantly warmed

"Bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh"
were the words he used to describe
the feelings he felt when she came to him
as he pulled her to his side.

And since a wound was made in his chest
to create this helper for man
he joined  both words "wound of man"
and called her, this creature,   "woman"

So  why do you think that God chose the rib
that came from over  his heart
to form the body of his future mate
perhaps he's really quite smart

He's more than brilliant, a romantic god
When he called Eve by her name
Naturally, Adam pulled her close to his heart
From here it was that she came

"And Jehovah God formed man
of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life;
and man became a living soul."
(Genesis 2:7)(ASV)-BibleGateway

"And Jehovah God said,
It is not good that Man should be alone;
I will make him a helpmate, his like."
(Genesis 2:18)(Darby)-BibleGateway

"And Jehovah God caused a deep sleep
to fall upon the man, and he slept;
and he took one of his ribs,
and closed up the flesh instead thereof:
and the rib, which Jehovah God had taken
from the man, made he a woman, and brought her
unto the man. And the man said,
This is now bone of my bones,
and flesh of my flesh:
she shall be called Woman,
because she was taken out of Man."
(Genesis 2:21-23)(ASV)-BibleGateway

The Wisdom of the Romantic God, Jehovah

By creating the woman from the rib of the man,
he is making the woman - bone of his bone
and flesh of his flesh.  Therefore man will
love and cherish the woman as he would his own
body - for she is truly a part of him.

"Therefore shall a man leave his father
and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife:
and they shall be one flesh."
(Genesis 2:24)(ASV)-BibleGateway

"for indeed man was not created for the woman's sake,
but woman for the man's sake."
(1Corinthians 11:9)(NASB)-BibleGateway

"So husbands ought also to love their own wives
as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife
loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh,
but nourishes and cherishes it..."
(Ephesians 5:28,29)(NASB)-BibleGateway

Even Jesus recognized
the Romantic Wisdom of his Father

"Haven't you read, Jesus replied,
"that at the beginning the Creator
'made them male and female,'and said,
'For this reason a man will leave his father
and mother and be united to his wife,
and the two will become one flesh'.
So they are no longer two, but one.
Therefore what God has joined together,
let man not separate." "
(Matthew 19:4-6)(NIV)-BibleGateway

"May your fountain be blessed,
and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
A loving doe, a graceful deer-
may her breasts satisfy you always,
may you ever be captivated by her love.
(Proverbs 5:18,19)(NIV)-BibleGateway
