Wind wails woe

It is on a night such as this
Where the wind wails woe
That your complete warmth I miss
And your smooth skin I yearn to know.

It is on blustery nights like this
Where the moon lounges well fed
That I crave your whole kiss,
But occupy a starving bed.

What will become of you and I?
Where do they go? These dreams that die?
Will these choking clouds ever abate?
Or has this occlusion sealed our fate?

The wind outside is fierce.
(But weak next to my sorrow)
It sends splinters of chill to pierce
And rain so cold it sinks to the morrow.
