My Interpretation

Love struck and baffled, I am,
after only a few moments of downtime.
Smooth your hand is,
creamy to the touch
and ony after permission to do so.
A smile I will never forget,
one burned into my mind
and one I see every evening
of everyday.
Squeezed so tight I lose conscious,
gasping for air sometimes,
but the only way I will accept your
love for me and no other.
We lay on a bed of confusion and comfort,
my lips upon yours for hours to come
and a sense of satisfaction,
never felt through me before
and I can't let you go.
Some foolish muttering of passion fruit
and laughter breaks,
cementing our souls even tighter together.
We know now that our ends
have met the Last Waltz
and our beginnings come upon New Age.
I look back at the day's end,
the reflection of you in the rear view mirror
as I drive back to my prior destination,
engrossed in your forever more.
Love struck and baffled, indeed.
