| i have loved you through the tears. through the moments of rage, and the nights of doubt. so we may not laugh as much, and may not touch as much, but you are everywhere under my skin. i couldn't breath without you, sing in the shower without you, shout at other drivers without you. you are the words i speak, and food i eat, the water that i drink. i feel you on me every day, every minute, every hour like the clothes i put on every morning. you are the water that runs down my skin as i shower, the shampoo i wash my hair with, and the make up i unnecessarily put on every day. you are my comfort every day, when i grow weary, and i feel to tired to stay awake, you are the pillow i lay my head on. the blanket that i cover myself with, and you are the love that i feel every day. don't doubt this, as i know you are right now, don't doubt that there is a day i could live without you, because i couldn't. so we're scared, who isn't? who isn't ever scared of where they are going, the great unknown is frightening. but in this world of x factors and unknowns, you are a light shining for me, a bright spotlight of hope. and i will love you through more tears, and more sorrows and anything else that comes our way. we are indomitable. |
