| let it snow, tonight. let it fall softly and quietly, on upturned faces. let it snow, and cover the dirt and marks, and imperfections. let us walk through it for a night, with your hand held as closely as our gloved hands will allow. let's kiss in it, and feel our cold noses brush each others cheek. tonight let's feel the comfort of the season as it flows over us, good will and love for all. as much as it can hurt, and as much as the tears come more readily these couple of weeks, i know that i would rather spend a christmas with you alone, than alone by myself, as i have done before. and when christmas morning comes, and the day is bright with sun, i will come to find you again. just as i do every morning, when my day doesn't start until my hand has found yours. and i will find you every day, not just christmas, but every morning. but right now, i want to walk in the snow with you, fall down and make snow angels with you. so let it snow tonight. |
