love's this game that I always seem to have lost before I can even take a shot or before I could dribble the ball so I played the assist man when love was in my hands I'd pass it off Love's this game And I couldn't play the 9 innings I was bound to the dugout Spitting tobacco till the ending I had a problem with catching So they put me at the pitcher spot And in a flash Now I'm a star They've never seen something released so fast Love's this game And I never went the 12 rounds I was TKO Before the bell made a sound Before the gloves were on Before the tickets were sold Before I was in the gym training With a guy 100 years old Love's this game So I stayed off the ice I didn't skate with the rest Instead I sat in the ice box But this curious mind of mine Took a step on the ice And now it takes a team To get me off the ice. ~i'm just him~ tru story |
