I Speak to You by Sarah Elizabeth Hume I speak to you through the earth each day. The miles cannot capture us. For each morning we see the same luminous glow, which bid us welcome and grants us warmth. You have touched the same dark rich soil and held it firmly in your hands. You have breathed the same flowing air which graced your flesh, your lips, your heart. And when midnight's flower descends like a veil upon the open sky, you witness the same unbridled silver and our eyes meet in the scattered fields of heaven. In the sea of cold, brilliant, stars we are held together, if only for a moment. And when rain pours, it is water from your ocean which has left the crystal salt behind. And when I dance within it I am feeling you, upon my bare suppleness so warm. I am bathed in sea that you have swam in. It seeps in my pores and we are as one once more. I speak to you through the earth each day. The miles shall never capture us. |
