What is love? Arranging your schedule when they need you the most, Adding sweet berry jelly to their fresh buttered toast, Instead of eating the last, you save at least one, You call them your darling or baby or hon. Checking your breath, before that first morning kiss, Showing up to a party, you'd just soon as miss. Seeing their beauty, when they don't look their best, Giving more than you take, not resenting the jest. Reaching for their hand, at the end of the day, Overlooking their shortcomings, and not making them pay. Supporting their challenge in any situation, Breakfast in bed without an occasion. Letting them sleep in, when you know they need rest, Not second guessing your choices, you know they're the best.
