Our Dance
by Sarah Elizabeth Hume
I remember days spent locked away in the shadows,
there we made our own sun.
Golden webs spun through us,
entangled limbs,
wildly beating drums.
It was like a strange, beautiful, dance,
one so new to me.
We created the steps as we moved along
until it finally ceased,
and you've forgotten the joy of dancing with me. |
