something of silk and nothing

It's all a danger,
It's all a deal, the tangerine
trouble, the sparked high heel.
Sure--you see me, with one eyebrow
raised, something of silk and nothing
tripping off my shoulder--dark eyes
hiding, betraying my devils, my reveling
in you.  Don't wait, don't ask,
don't even bother to speak--
act or retract, or hell,
leave to me.

But remember my lips before
the crash, the grind, the beat--
I told you, I warned you,
It's all a danger to me.  But for you--
You risk more, tangled in me,
and it's not to be undone, once
you've relinquished
in order to love me.

These gypsy words are not a curse,
or a sneer, but a reason for you,
while you still possess fear--
I won't walk away, and I won't flinch
in the least, so I warn you--
I warn you--
It's all a danger, if you please.
