Own Your Truth When you think you've given all you have to the core... Could you or would you, give a little bit more? When you think you have stripped yourself, of all the pretenses,,, Are you willing to show the real you,,, or still sit on the fences? Are the words you share spoken to only elicit sympathy,,, Or can you go back, deep inside, and give back some empathy? Do you use your words only to manipulate the play,,, Or in time will they wither, turn to dust, or decay? Are you certain your actions and words, sweet or tart,,, Have nothing to hide, are out in the open, came straight from the heart? Do you feel, without worry, should they come around tomorrow,,, You would have no regrets, no anger, or sorrow? If you truly take a look at why you said what you did,,, Can you stand by that truth,,, if a friendship you rid? If you know that you purposely drove that nail through the heart,,, Then why cry now,,, when its all fallen apart?? |
