Your Eyes I remember your eyes when I begged you to make a decision for us, you and I... and you couldn't or wouldn't. I remember you considered making that decision and then it hit you like a hammer that maybe you shouldn't and didn't. I remember your sigh and falling back on the bed covering your eyes in either frustration, confusion or simply looking for a safety net. I remember only one time in our lives reaching out for you, or anyone, to keep me from falling and you were not there. You hesitated for a fraction of a second. You missed. I fell. It hurt. I forgave you immediately just because I love you, but I never forgave myself. Would you catch me now? |
