MONSTER IN ME You drain my conscious. You rape my dreams, leaving me broken and emotionally blood-soaked. You scratch your nails across my mind leaving scrapes along the surface of my soul. Visible bruises on my body. You ignite the fears that bring me to paralyzation. Leaving me empty, scared, and alone. Mimicking happiness I have only seen in movies. You stole all that was mine, leaving only bitterness and anger. You are the monster that kept me down. Today- Day by day, I will reclaim myself I will stand strong. And you my monster, will stand no-more. |
