Cupid, Stupid! (oops!)

Oh, I gave Cupid time-out
for the misery he's caused
showed him I still had clout
with that he briefly paused

to poke holes in my ceiling
write graffiti on my walls
got me yelling and reeling
oh, then the boyfriend calls

I answer into the line blind
hotter in all my angry haste
cursing Cupid with "stupid!"
laid a relationship to waste

I'm soon pleading tearfully
on legs jelly in these jams
Cupid's snickering joyfully
he's hatching other plans
