She stood in the corner of her room, next to her dressing table, on which she placed pink fluffy cotton balls, her diamond jewels spread all in front of her along with all her dear possessions. Windows wide open, fresh air all over and her sweet fragrance filled the ambiance.

Staring at her reflection in the mirror, wondering how she reached such a point, wondering how she allowed herself to become the person she was.  She hated what she saw; she detested herself, for underneath this entire makeup and perfect hairdo, underneath this fake beauty she covered an ugly soul.

She was the girl who sold out all her principles, the girl who gave her back to everyone and everything, the girl who abandoned all what she was taught. She felt like screaming out her lungs, but she didn't, out of fear someone will hear her. To the world she had everything and she didn't have the right to complain.

In a tantrum, she threw everything off her dressing table, her bobby pins covered the floor, the cotton balls got squashed and mangled, and diamond chips from her jewels were mingled with pieces of glass as her bottle of perfume got smashed on the ground beneath her perfectly manicured bare feet.

Tears streamed down her cheeks, black marks covered her face from her runny mascara, as she started to sob in silence. Filled with regret, that had started to eat away her soul. She saw a glimpse of light creeping through the darkness, she knew she'd found her way back after being lost for such a long time.
