No more bitter words It's not what love means Today I hum, and sing, and smile And wonder what I thought before What I thought before Ain't it funny what one sinks to In the name of love? Thinking it is just part of the beauty One moment for the next. A trade-off. But true love has no price tag In its purest form, and remember There is no pass throught the hard times But those times aren't the center of their own gravity. Gravity has a long-term pull. Not a short one. No, the short-term pull Is that of humming, and singing, and floating So far above the undaunted life. We've all lived for awhile. So no more bitter words, No more abuse No more price to pay for moments of beauty I have finally found what it's really like to love. And be loved. |
