So this is where we begin No more wondering where we end. I have you now, we have each other. And I don't, and haven't, and won't miss the angst and the rollercoasters. No, no more rollercoasters. Well, except the ones at the parks. The real ones. I am not afraid to look in your eyes Because what I see there, matches What is in mine. Perhaps for the first time. Ever. And oh, what a full-moon feeling that is. What a beginning-of-fall Glass-full-of-wine-in-front-of-the-firplace Feeling this is. And I know you won't mind that I treasure it. So this is where we begin No more wondering if we'll end And I'll come home to you And you'll make me laugh, the stomach-hurting laughter that no sit-com ever achieved. Though for years I gave them a hundred chances. But you, you make me laugh Not the little-smile-sitcom chuckle I used to find The real kind. |
