My boy back home is a very fine boy A very fine boy is he Self-sufficient, hard-working, tidy and kind As very fine boys all should be. My boy back home doesn't mind it alone Not a lonely young man is he He call once a day and I'm not in his way He asks almost nothing from me. My boy back home has a very fine nose As the grindstone has polished it down It gets stuck in the books, on the screen where he looks But beyond it, there's nothing around. My boy back home likes it neat as a pin Not an article left out of place And my boxes and me were sent delivery So my neat boy would have enough space. My boy back home's not the travelling type He still hasn't visited me And my boy back home's got a long way to go If he wants to hold on to me. |
