the great and terrible truth about love is that it will kill you-- and if it doesn't kill you, it might just maim you a little. Failing that, there might actually be days where you can walk in a straight line, seeing straight, and hold intelligent conversation (minus your own inner monologue, which goes something like, "you know, that reminds me of the time that...)-- of course, I'm more inclined to believe that line's a fairytale. so, the great and terrible truth about love--there it is. Do with it what you will. Scoff, laugh, or start reading the Bible, because love is the James Dean of emotions: it doesn't care who you are, or where, or why-- it only cares who you're with, or who you want to be with, and it will always play chicken with your head. |
