I see my wings there in the balance gracefully paraded; across the horizon. If but not for the others, who led before me, I may have made it, but I can only see how far they let me fall. Darling, I gave you everything I could think of, yet nothing more; dressed accordingly and poised to set the score, but your army of deciples they will never rest, give me their best, and I will crash just like the others. I wring my hands here in the darkness hoping no one sees; but on this stage the spotlight, shines accordingly, and I should be alone now, but never will I ever be, I've got the root of all this evil standing nearby me, and I can't be afraid, but I don't know how not to be. I just can't pretend. Still, darling, I gave you everything, everything I could think of; but nothing more of me, I paced the halls of your ruins, castle's blue and forlorn evermore. If you could only help me show me where you lie, and I'll lay down beside you down where the others died. |
