Watercolors Spring time of new beginnings I have often thought how different we might be starting over meeting for the first time same restaurant but wiser and gentler people knowing what we know about life together and apart and yes, the void I prime a canvas wondering if it is possible to start over go back to the start a blank canvas or one that has been primed the ground thick and ready the past buried beneath it the future open unblemished one canvas two artists one palette different mediums I am tempted to start without you just adding a color to paint your taste your scent the way your eyes hold mine in a world made for two and perhaps I'll add another the feel of your skin moist and warm under my fingertips I stop remind myself that I have always been the watercolors in your life I wash off and leave no trace |
