We bundled up when it was cold layers upon layers of clothes sweaters and boots and heavy coats and vests and socks and mittens too. No glimpse of flesh could ere be seen we covered all our skin to hide the chance of frosted bites to keep our warmth within Just barely a nose protruding out with ski masks on our face our thermals wrapped around our legs with cotton wool and acrylic too And now we peel in slow reverse to share the golden sun we shave away those bulky clothes since the winter now is done Revealing more of ourselves as the fahrenheit degrees begin to rise upon this earth as we thaw from winter's freeze The heavy coats give way to tops that halter on our chest the thickened slacks are shed like skin as a snake lets loose from that And how does man fare with this change from chilly wet and cold to the warm invigoration of the lukewarm breeze that blows? For nature has a special way to make the birds and bees reflect upon our budding ways our future mates to please Our senses turn to warmer days where skin glistens with the light our sweat becomes inviting balm that leads to sensual night The nectar smell that we exude as our bodies are exposed to tantalize the romance buds as we shed our winter clothes. ``````` |
