Here I sit in the shadows, I know its over and that we're done. I can't let go of what we had though, I can't face what we've become. Here I sit in the shadow's veil, Hiding from what I cannot face. The moon watches me, its light so pale, And I think of what you've erased. I think of how how we only kiss in the dark, Hidden by shadows, on the swing sets at the park. Only time will tell what we'll become, The love we share will never be Undone. When you introduce me, you don't say I'm simply a friend, Words you use, I can tell you bend, But I hope your not out to hurt me, My heart needs to mend, So please, my wounds can you tend? Your help, will you lend? Shivers up my spine you do send. Your kisses make me feel so weak, You are the only one I seek. They say love is just a phase, So why am I still caught in this daze, Clouded judgement in this haze. I really do love you so, How much I guess you'll never know. I whisper your name in the wind, Your nowhere to be found, where you been? Your love is pure, so sweet, You are the only one who makes me complete. I don't want us to hid our love, why can't we show it? Not doing so makes me break down bit by bit. Alone, we do things only couples do, Kiss, touch, and hug too. Are you afraid to committ?
