truth

The silence Is almost a relief.
It doesn’t hurt nearly as much as the yelling
But silence forces you to hear what you couldn’t before

The truth

In the sudden silence I hear your pain, not only mine
In this quiet state I hear my heart beating.

And it screams for yours to be beating next to it

My arms scream to have you within them

My head screams of all the things that have gone wrong

I don’t know when the tide turned against us,
Or why

All I know is that this big bed seems empty now

And my ears need to hear that snoring that I always complained about,
Just to sleep well at night.

The silence is defining,

And the truth, that you are not next to me to hear,
Is the most painful of all.

I would rather spend a life time yelling with you,
Then with anyone else in complete bliss.

And your not here to listen to my hearts sigh of relief at this seemingly devastating revelation.

All I can hope is that your heart will scream the same to you in your own silence.

Once the anger fades
All that’s left is quiet

All that’s left is truth

All that’s left is love

with no one to take it.
