The waters raged The tempest storm The lightning struck its vicious sword I hung so tight lest I should fall I heard the sound of your faint call The winds all galed the thunder roared my world was shook a breaking chord I couldn't see with eyes shut tight I lost my hold on that bleak night I searched for you and began to pray I lost it all on that fateful day but I can't end without a hope I can't stop on a sour note I danced and sang and refused to cry I drove my chariot across the sky I wrote a poem and called the sun I gathered mist and planted fun I chased away the rain and storm I refused the cold and praised the warm I saw your face you smiled at me My blinded eyes began to see The dawn of light on horizons shore I weathered out Loves violent storm ........ |
