I'm trying to walk day by day, Keeping my face towards the sun. Sometimes I try to walk towards You, Most times I want to run. I keep my face up and try to live the day by day, But Jesus, your wildflowers trip me up and pull me away. I try to keep things simple, I don't want to experience pain. If I keep everyone at a distance, perhaps, My skies will never rain. No matter how hard I push forward, No matter how big or how small, The more my toes get tangled and the harder I fall. I try to keep things simple, I don't want to experience pain. But I know that sometimes I need sunshine And other times I need the rain. So, I guess, I'll keep trying to live the day by day, And let Your field of wildflowers grow and pull me away. |
