The Facts of Life

Missing him has become a fact of life.
Everywhere I am,
everything I do,
my thoughts are consumed by him.

Moments of clarity are few and far between,
but how I cherish them.
Heavenly Father tells me to keep patient and have faith.
He holds my head up to see
it's not all for nothing.
It's not all over.
I remind myself the pain is temporal,
while our love is everlasting.

What I wouldn't give to hear his voice of reason,
his songs of love.
I long to see him, but this is his game.
His rules.
Missing him has become my fact of life.
