The waters raged - The tempest storm - The lightning struck its vicious sword - I hung so tight - lest I should fall - I heard the sound of your faint call - The winds all galed - the thunder roared - my world was shook - a breaking chord - I couldn't see - with eyes shut tight - I lost my hold on that bleak night - I searched for you and began to pray - I lost it all on that fateful day - but I can't end without some hope - and I can't stop on a sour note - I danced and sang and refused to cry - I drove my chariot across the sky - I wrote a poem and called the sun - I gathered mist and planted fun - I chased away the rain and storm - I refused the cold and praised the warm - I saw your face - you smiled at me My blinded eyes began to see - The dawn of light on horizons shore - I weathered out- Loves violent storm. |
