It's been a week since you were here last When you showed up at my door And I apologized for the person I was becoming The person you never knew existed The person I was before you The person I'm turning into after Because you made me believe in your magic Life is magic Death is magic Love is magic And I suspended my disbelief Lowered my walls And loved with everything I had in me Unrestrained For you But everything wasn't enough Everything couldn't keep you from vanishing So now I'm left wondering If I can ever give everything again And if everything wasn't enough When will I ever be So the magic is fading The smoke and mirrors revealed You the magician have left And your assistant forgotten Awkwardly left behind Sawed in half Left to examine the wounds To fully experience the pain While you can continue on Charming the crowd Leaving them in awe But now that I know the trick The magic will never be the same again |
