What "Not to do" on Your Wedding Night (A True Story) A wedding night horror (My first husband) - I was only 17 and quite stupid They call it "The Honeymoon" that special sacred night when man and woman first embark on that magical first flight It's that very first offical day That their wedding day allows when the husband and his precious wife will consummate their vows And so it was that Day for me It happened in December A Momentous trip down Memory Lane I always will remember My Wedding Night was not the norm on the night we first retired I surmised that it all went wrong and what truly had expired It wasn't till many years went by that He confessed the truth to me expounding upon that awful night In the city by the sea So let's go back and I will tell of Our Wedding night of bliss The story is true and tragic too with all that I had missed We left our guests and drove down south to Atlantic City's Beach We checked into a resort hotel in the HoneyMooner's Suite We went to dine in elegance but he flirted with the waitress the lustful looks that they exchanged You should have seen their faces When he gave her gratuitious tip - it was by hand clasp and by smile she slyly slipped her phone address he'd be calling her in awhile He fell asleep while we kissed upon returning to our room I tried to wake him in erotic ways but my hopes were turned to gloom. In frustration, I gave up and climbed into the bed I pulled him close and fell asleep but much to my fool dread I awoke at three in the morn To find that he was gone The bed was empty and cold as ice where he had laid upon I called the desk and counted stars in the darkened tar-oil sky I didn't know just what to think so I began to cry This wasn't how I'd imagined it that honeymooner's Sweet How could he have left me now ? Was he a cheating creep ? Eventually he returned to the confines of our bed place where I had waited many hours when he left without a trace. I asked him where he had been and where did he spent the night He made up logical excuses then that seemed to be alright. He said that he couldn't sleep and went downstairs to watch the TV shows and the nightly news and drink a double scotch But in truth - he spent the night with that waitress gal while I was left with a pillow cold and lost my sweetest pal So my marriage to this Fella started with all this mess and I never knew the awful truth till the day that he confessed ..........
