| The gifts life, light and faith bring never cease to amaze me. When you finally humble yourself and stop looking for quick fixes or settling for something not right, someone reaches out of the chaos to gently grasp your hand and when you look up to meet their gaze the noise and distraction fade away in the face of such brilliant perfection until all you see is her eyes glinting gold and all you hear is the sound of your own heart pounding and the protest of the lungs you have simply forgotten to use. It is then against all odds and adversity that you take that first shaky breath of the rest of your life...and finally begin to live again. |
