Heart Disease

So strange his last words to me were an apology for you.
He apologized for the pain that you have caused.
He shared who he thought was the root of the problem.
He said losing me is a far greater price you will pay for your poor decision to leave me.
“And although our family tree may not be a mighty oak. A flower on our tree has been lost.”

Yes, it has. (RIP Uncle W)

Thank you for your love, wit, and laughs...Thank you for our long conversations in which you found me “enlightened, engaging and charming.” Your heart was so big.

Now I say to you your own words, “Although our family tree may not be a mighty oak. A flower on our tree has been lost …”

Heart break or heart attack… No matter… Both leave me sadder for the loss of love is palpable. Even still, mine keeps beating on.
