Walking up behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist. Inhaling his natural scent, and his good taste. Dining side by side. Touching his leg on a car ride. Catching a sideways glance. Smiling because we took a chance. Holding hands anywhere. We make quite a striking pair. Watching a movie, our toes on the coffee table entangling. Refusing to leave participles dangling. Pressing my head against his chest, wearing high heels. Texting good night from separate locations and knowing exactly how each other feels. Wishing he would reach his arm over me in the morning and turn off the alarm. Realizing I have no idea what he dreams of is half the charm. -Just L April 30, 2015 |
