The sparkle that she once emitted Seemed to be, if only temporarily, omitted; Had her affectionate glow been obliterated? Dulled by the shadow of the crowd that surrounded her now? Dare to stand back and take another glimpse Her love for you still radiates and how; She watches you while she speaks to the others Yet, you never catch her eye, and wonder why; This twinging question is held back from view She laughs easily as her heart holds only you; And then you must, admittedly, see it, too That twinkle; All your familiar fears are unfounded. ~Just L July 26, 2015 |
