When we were younger and we were freer. We are long-scapes of shame. Landscapes of insanity. Concrete tomorrows that wait for steadfastness. (We wait together shoulder to shoulder waiting for morning light) We feel the sun as when it swims into our eyes, call me and we'll empty ourselves onto the city's streets, onto its goddamned sidewalks. Don't forget that we should be shame, we should be horrified by our indifference, we should be Terrified. *I wrote this with the last word, "terrified", being italicized originally, but I couldn't figure out a way of doing the same on Loveblender, so I left it as is. |
